Research SummaryTien-Li Chang, Ph.D., is Professor of Mechatronic Engineering at the National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan. Prof. Chang has been working in the NEMS/MEMS field for 15 years. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 2006. Shortly afterwards, he worked as a researcher at Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan. In 2011, he joined the Department of Mechatronic Engineering at the National Taiwan Normal University as an Assistant Professor in Taiwan. He was promoted to the Associate Professor in 2014 and Full Professor in 2017. He has published more than 200 papers on journals and conference proceedings and 15 patents. His current research focuses on developing design and fabrication (stereolithography, ultra-fast laser machining, 3D printer) methods in the applications of microfluidics, biosensors, LEDs, solar cells, and lab-on-a-chip technology.
